This free two-part online training is for early years settings who have children they are supporting with 'exceptional needs funding' from Bedford Borough. It is expected that children who receive this level of support will need an Education Health and Care Plan by the time they start primary school to ensure their needs continue to be met in a coordinated way.
The first part of the training will look at what is needed to make a comprehensive request for assessment for an EHCP, including completing the Education Health and Care Needs Assessment Form (EHCNAF).
You will be supported to consider what you should include and required to complete parts of the form with a particular child in mind before the second part of the training.
During the second session you will be offered bespoke support to get the form ready to submit.
