The Peter Pan Training Partnership undertakes, monitors and evaluates Research and Development projects with a view to impact on local, regional and national practice.

Our current research project

Using ECERS to improve Quality

As Early Years becomes more of a focus through nationally driven schemes such as the 30 hour childcare offer for working parents as well as the New Ofsted framework which gives a judgement on early years, schools are now placing a much bigger emphasis on assessing and improving the quality of the Early Years Provision.

The Peter Pan Training Partnership is launching its first research project to this end. Five schools within the alliance will use Specialist Leaders of Education from the teaching school who are trained in using the Using the Environmental Rating Scales to assess the quality of their Early Years provision to identify areas for improvement.
