A Practical Training for Childminders

Build your confidence in supporting children’s speech, language and communication through simple, effective strategies you can use every day in your home setting.

 

Based on the evidence-informed ShREC approach

 

What is ShREC?

A simple way to build high-quality interactions with children:

· Sh – Share Attention Tune into what the child is interested in

· R – Respond Notice and respond to communication

· E – Expand Add language to develop understanding

· C – Create Opportunities Encourage back-and-forth interaction during play and routines

Optional Coaching (Limited Places. To be booked over the Summer Term 26) More information to be provided on the network meeting.
