Jabadao (Early Years movement) hosted by Penny Greenland

The significant early movement we can so easily miss
Lying, lolling, rolling, toppling, arching and curling. This session will look at the early movement that can so easily go beneath the radar as we focus on the big physical milestones. Penny will unpack the building blocks of physical development - that babies do for the first time and older children return to - and ask what’s this got to do with wellbeing and resilience, as well as physical development? And crucially, how can we make sure we support it well?

 

Penny Greenland is the founder of Jabadao, where she and the team have spent 40 years developing ways to support babies and children to develop fantastically capable bodies and the highest levels of physical wellbeing. Penny is a dancer, writer and a passionate advocate for the value of child-led movement play in the early years.
