Peter Pan Training Partnership

On 28th and 29th June in partnership with Bedford Borough Council we welcomed over 100 practitioners to The Forest Centre in Marston Moretaine.

The day was spent being inspired by our guest speakers Greg Bottrill and Julie Mountain.

Greg is the author of the bestselling ’Can I Go And Play Now?’ and ‘School of the Magic of Children’. A passionate advocate of childhood and education done with children not to them, he is also the creator of Drawing Club, The Message Centre, Play Projects and Adventure Island. His work and thinking is deeply embedded in joy, adventure, marvel and play, four things that he believes are equally as important for adults.

 

Early childhood landscape designer Julie Mountain has worked on outdoor learning and play projects with schools, settings and families for over 25 years.  She is passionate about getting children outdoors to experience nature at first hand, take risks, get active, enrich learning and have fun.

Julie has written three early years outdoor play books, created numerous online training programmes and is a regular contributor to Nursery World magazine.  She specialises in helping nurseries, children’s centres and schools make the most of the potential of outdoor play, through CPD, advisory programmes, mentoring and collaborative design projects, so that all children may benefit from the essential and special nature of outdoors.
